Shakespeare’s Globe broadcasts Henry IV Part 1

The play’s the thing

Image High-definition broadcasts didn’t exist in Elizabethan times, but scholars today all agree that Shakespeare would have wanted his plays shown at the Buckhead Fork and Screen and he would have wanted you to go.

Originally recorded during the renowned London Globe’s 2010 season, Henry IV Part 1 will be screened at Atlanta cinemas tonight, August 1, at 6:30 pm. The series kicked off in late July with The Merry Wives of Windsor and continues with Henry IV Part 2 (August 18) and Henry VIII (September 15). During the broadcasts you can also see a bit of the process that went into reconstructing Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on what’s believed to be its original site. The shows will be broadcast to area cinemas including the AMC Fork and Screen Buckhead, Perimeter Pointe 10, and North Point 8 Alpharetta. More information and link to purchase tickets after the jump.
