Lawsuit against Kathryn Stockett dismissed by judge

A lawsuit filed earlier this year against Kathryn Stockett, Atlanta-based author of The Help, has been thrown out by the judge. GalleyCat reports:

Hinds County Circuit judge Tomie Green has dismissed a lawsuit filed against novelist Kathryn Stockett by her brother’s maid. According to the judge, the statute of limitations had expired on the case before the lawsuit was filed.

Stockett was the subject of a recent CL cover story.
