The U.S. Supreme Court is reportedly reviewing a last-minute appeal filed by long-time death-row inmate Troy Davis, who was scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. for the 1989 killing of Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail.
If that's the case, there's no telling when the court might release its decision. Keep in mind that the supremes rejected Davis' pleas of innocence earlier this year.
UPDATE, 8:02 p.m. Lots of conflicting reports and rumors flying around. The Southern Center for Human Rights says the U.S. Supreme Court has not issued a temporary reprieve. The Georgia Department of Corrections says the same to 11 Alive.
Democracy Now! is livestreaming from outside the prison where Davis is scheduled to be executed.
