MAT Awards honor nonprofessional theater for 2011
Act 3’s ‘Once on This Island’ dominates Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Awards.
Act 3 Productions’ Once On This Island was the big winner at The Metropolitan Atlanta Theater (MAT) Awards last night for being honored in nine artistic categories. Russ Ivey founded the awards in 2004 to recognize local community and non-professional theater. The Henry Players’ The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, received the second highest-number of awards, with five.
