Atlanta pizza pie magnate Herman Cain did some pre-hatch-chicken-counting following his Florida straw poll victory, and made the TV rounds this Sunday.
After being pressed by "This Week" host Christiane Amanpour about his silence at a recent debate during which a homosexual American serviceman was booed — about which he explained, "I happen to think that maybe they were booing the whole 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal more so than booing that soldier;" Oh, so that's OK — and his thoughts about Rick Perry's charmingly named hunting camp, Cain stopped by Fox News to talk about the IMPORTANT STUFF.
An effervescent Cain told Chris Wallace that when he becomes president, he wants to freshen-up "Hail to the Chief."
Cain said, "Well, it's traditional, and that's all well and good. But I happen to believe there comes a time when you need to change the mood of it just a little bit. Not drastically, just a little bit ... I think 'Hail to the Chief' needs a little bit fresher sound."
Then Wallace nailed his white-guy cue and asked the black person seated before him, "So ... hip-hop?" No, ASSHOLE. Gospel. Don't we all know by now how much Herman Cain loves gospel? Here's video of the Fox News interview:
