I'm not actually in ATLwood at the moment, but here's the scoop I got for you guys before I went south for Turkey Day:
— Would you pay $20K to star in a scene with Ben Stiller? He's auctioning a walk-on role for his Atlanta-filmed flick Neighborhood Watch. The 99% can just see it in theaters ... if we can afford it.
— Our own Debbie Michaud spotted something filming on Pryor Street at MLK on Monday morning. There are a few things in the area, including Denzel's film "Flight" and "Coma" (see below)
— Because only scary TV shows are made here, A&E is remaking the creepy '70s sci-fi movie Coma as a miniseries, which has been filming at 211 Peters St in Atlanta, and at Peters between Haynes and Fair (which wrapped up earlier this week).
— Speaking of wrapping up, filming for "The Walking Dead's" Season 2 is over, but you can relive some of the season's moments around town, including a possible trip to the Cochran Mill Nature Center in Palmetto.
— Great news: former Dalton, Ga resident J.R. Martinez is a favorite to win ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Be sure to tune in and vote!
— FYI: I mentioned last week that Kyma, Souper Jenny and even Tin Roof Cantina on North Druid have been seeing a lot of celebrity action of late, but I also heard that Cafe Sunflower is frequented by almost every celeb who stops in town.
