The USA Network, in partnership with renowned storytelling organization The Moth, will visit Grady High School on Friday, Dec. 9. The USA Network's Characters Unite initiative has been holding workshops in high schools around the country to spark dialogue about discrimination and intolerance.

At the workshops, students receive in-depth training on the art of storytelling in order to develop a five-minute story about facing discrimination or bigotry and how the experience impacted their identity. At the culmination of the workshops, the students share their stories at an in-school assembly, giving the entire student body the opportunity to start a larger dialogue about respect and understanding.

The group has previously compiled stories from high school students in New York City, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington, D.C.

Incidentally, The Moth's popular podcast celebrated its 200th episode on Nov. 27.
