
At the workshops, students receive in-depth training on the art of storytelling in order to develop a five-minute story about facing discrimination or bigotry and how the experience impacted their identity. At the culmination of the workshops, the students share their stories at an in-school assembly, giving the entire student body the opportunity to start a larger dialogue about respect and understanding.
The group has previously compiled stories from high school students in New York City, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington, D.C.
