SEBSOE SAID SO: Erik Weiner on the set of "Boardwalk Empire"
Of HBO's current dramas, "Boardwalk Empire" can't match "Game of Thrones" for creative internet memes (like Hipster Jon Snow, for instance). But with all due respect to "Damn It Feels Good to be a Lannister," "Boardwalk Empire" now has the awesomest rap song, thanks to actor/comedy rapper Erik Weiner. Weiner wrote some amusing rhymes based on his One Line on "The Sopranos." With the humor of a Lonely Island clip, Weiner's video made its way across the Internet to the creators of "Boardwalk Empire," and eventually earned him the role of ill-falted Agent Sebsoe on the show's first season. Michael Shannon drowned Agent Sebsoe last season, and Weiner bid farewell to the show with one of his raps, "Boardwalk Empire State of Mind." A year later, Weiner has recorded and filmed a video of Sebsoe's song, directed by recurring actor Ed McGinty on the show's actual set. It's very funny spoof and celebration of the show, and also serves as a reminder that TV and movie bit players often have talents we never learn about.
"Boardwalk Empire's" second season finale airs at 9 p.m. Sunday on HBO.
