A slight murmur of life rustled in the city this week, with celebrities and production crews returning to the A after the holidays …

— "So You Think You Can Dance" hostess Cat Deeley was on hand at the Fox Thursday for the show's latest round of auditions (the last season of SYTYCD was won by an Atlantan!)

— Ludacris will close celeb-hangout Straits in Midtown to focus on an airport restaurant. That restaurant being "one based on his 2003 album Chicken-N-Beer, the idea that people look to their favorite rappers as a mark of quality on fried chicken, and a long-term strategy to make Bill Cosby lose his shit."

— On Wednesday, the A&E miniseries "Coma," starring Geena Davis and Richard Dreyfuss, filmed a swimming scene at Georgia Tech. [via@craigmillertv]

— Robert De Niro and John Travolta are headed back to Atlanta soon to film "Killing Season," a thriller set in the mountains. According to the Georgia Entertainment Mag, "The project needs crew members. Millennium Films is accepting crew resumes for the film, to be directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Ghost Rider, Daredevil). If you're interested in working on the film, email your resume to killingseason2012@gmail.com."

— There's a rumor that a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film is being made in Atlanta right now … can anyone confirm?

— A number of Covington streets were closed off this week for more "Vampire Diaries" filming.

— We're Number 3! Georgia was ranked the #3 place to film (and follow the link for a list of release dates of GA films in 2012!)
