Meet Monster Jam's Madusa

Posted by Joeff Davis on Fri, Jan 13, 2012 at 12:56 PM

The Madusa

This morning CL was invited to the Georgia Dome to speak to a couple of the Monster Jam riders who will be competing Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd at the Georgia Dome.

Madusa is a former pro-wrestler turned Monster Jam racer who has been competing in Monster Jam competitions for the past 10 years. She says racing is like "having a triple orgasm," adding "it's 90 seconds of pure pleasure." Madusa, who calls herself the "Queen of Carnage," and the only racer "with balls," is a two-time Monster Jam World Champion. She says she was contacted by the Monster Jam promoters while she was pro-wrestler and they invited her to try out by driving a truck. "I gagged that bitch out of the pond and they came running and said I was hired," she says.

Madusa says the course they will race on Saturday night at the dome "is crazy sick" and that when she takes the jumps she closes her eyes. Surveying the jump that's being prepared at the center of the Dome this morning, she looks at it and says, "That's some snot-banging helmet shit." Following the race Madusa says she will have injuries ranging from "concussions to bruises," all for less than she made as a pro-wrestler; she says she is one of the better paid Monster Jam racers and but does not make six figures.

Madusa ain't all badass when asked what she will be doing this afternoon to prepare for the race: "I am taking an online class, I am working toward my bachelor's degree," she says.
