The Daily Show visits Ellijay to interview local weirdos
There is, according to legend (and Jim Galloway’s blog) a man who lives in Ellijay, Ga. who is one of the most elusive varieties of Republican: he’s really, really excited about Mitt Romney. Doesn’t call himself a Mittens fan — he calls himself the BIGGEST Mittens fan. This is so remarkable that, today, a crew from the Daily show visited the wilds of North Georgia to interview him and political talkshow host Col. Oscar Poole, who is also the owner of Poole’s Bar-B-Q and an enthusiastic wearer of oversized Uncle Sam hats.
