A quick tour of non-WTF comedy podcasts

For years, the stereotypical pose of a stand-up comedian has been standing in front of a microphone before a brick wall. Today, the equivalent might be hunched over a microphone, recording a podcast. To use "WTF" host Marc Maron as a gateway to other podcasts, here are links to Maron on The Adam Carolla Show, Sklarbro Country, Never Not Funny (Episode 610f) with Jimmy Pardo and The Mental Illness Happy Hour. Not to mention both of his appearances on Creative Loafing's Another Comedy Podcast. Plus, here are some video clips of interesting podcasts, including

Patton Oswalt on "The Adam Carolla Show" talking about Snooki and the nature of reality TV celebrity. Incidentally, Oswalt's such an entertaining and eager podcast guest that you could probably discover all the good podcasts out there just by following Oswalt's appearances.

Demetri Martin discussing the coolness of skateboarding on Sklarbro Country:

The hosts of The Flop House riffing on the hilariously ineffectual evil angels of Legion:


The Pod F. Tompkast
has a recurring segment, recorded live, in which comics run a famous movie scene through a Google Voice translate program, then perform the text as written. Here's an almost successful attempt to match up that audio with the video of the original movie scene:
