Today is the last day of Off the Edge, Atlanta's new annual dance series, and the busy week will end with an event that promises to be one of the most memorable: Israel's "mother of modern dance" Rina Schenfeld will give a free performance at the Goat Farm today, Sunday, January 29, at 6 p.m.

Schenfeld's wonderful, off-the-chain lecture at Emory last Wednesday night offered glimpses of her inventive and playful artistry: she spoke with candor and humor about her life and career and even improvised some mini-performances. The opportunity to see the 73-year-old legend, who worked with dance luminaries such as Martha Graham, Jerome Robbins, Merce Cunningham and Pina Bausch, in a full performance is not to be missed.

Rina Schenfeld performs tonight, January 29, at 6 p.m. at the Goat Farm, 1200 Foster Street. The performance is free and open to the public.
