Bueller? Bueller? Studio Movie Grill announces $1 classics

I can't bring myself to watch that Ferris Bueller-inspired Honda ad starring Matthew Broderick. Rather than risk ruining a pleasant movie memory, the Roswell's Studio Movie Grill goes back to the source by presenting the original Ferris Bueller's Day Off as part of its monthly $1 Classics Series on March 15. The theater's definition of "classic" might be a little generous, but it certainly offers a popular line-up of films from the 1980s and 1990s on the third Thursday of every month, with $1 tickets. (But why not program Planes, Trains & Automobiles in November?)

February 16: Top Gun
March 15: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
April 19: Airplane
May 17: Fight Club
June 21: 16 Candles
July 19: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
August 16: Planes, Trains & Automobiles
September 20: Beverly Hills Cop
October 18: Beetlejuice
November 15: Forrest Gump
December 20: Home Alone

Speaking of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I'm quite fond of the crazy fan theory that Ferris is a figment of Cameron's imagination, like Brad Pitt's a figment of Edward Norton's imagination in Fight Club. And look, Studio Movie Grill presents Fight Club in May. Coincidence?
