Photography Time and Place: Booty Shakin'

This image was taken at The Earl in East Atlanta Village. I took this photo following a performance put on by New Orleans bounce diva Big Freedia, last Saturday night. After the show I was talking to the girl wearing the fishnet stockings and gold underwear (sixth from the left) to see if I could use any of the images I took of her throughout the night. She seemed rather excited and exclaimed that I should get a photo of all of her friends. Next thing I know she gathers around ten or so people and lines them up for a photo op. I thought the opportunity was perfect to get across the rump shaking origins of New Orleans bounce music as well as the key factor in a Big Freedia show, booty.
