A few new sculptures have appeared in recent weeks along the Beltline, courtesy of a collaboration between Georgia Tech professor Tristan Al-Haddad and a number of architectural students from the school. A honeycomb-like archway marks the Beltline trail's beginning at Dekalb Avenue near the Krog tunnel, another is on the trail near Ansley Park, and a third is on the Beltline's west side near Gordon White Park. Like the work discussed in this recent profile of Al-Haddad, the line here between mathematics, traditional architectural forms, and sculptural art is blurry. Head over to the Atlanta Beltline blog for some more information about the sculptures.
