Local Atlanta artist Radcliffe Bailey (of the recent Memory as Medicine restrospective at the High Museum) has teamed up with the W Hotel in downtown Atlanta to create an artist salon dedicated to his work. The plan is to not only have a place for Bailey to show his own work, but also allow Bailey the freedom to curate exhibitions of other artists and works from other Atlanta collections.
The Residences at W Atlanta in Downtown have added the feature to lure prospective buyers. The Radcliffe Bailey Salon will feature a rotating exhibition of Bailey's work and will be open by appointment and invitation only for artist lectures, parties and viewings.
According to the W's press release, Bailey choose to collaborate with the W because of its design and location. The salon will be furnished by the Simcolifestyle furniture company.
