Local arts organizations WonderRoot and ArtsCriticATL both unveiled website redesigns today. WonderRoot's clean new layout emphasizes large photos and streamlined navigation. ArtsCriticATL's overhaul coincides with a total rebranding. Now known as ArtsATL, the site has a brighter, bolder and more photo-driven layout as well as a new logo. ArtsATL co-founder and executive director Cathy Fox said in an email this morning that people had a hard time remembering the old name and "that the site is about art, not critics, and it offers more than criticism — news, interviews, commentary, and now, a calendar — and will continue to expand its content. In the coming weeks, we will be extend our music coverage beyond classical and jazz, and we will be adding coverage of the thriving local film scene. Film is now a separate category. We will run video documentaries on a regular basis."

In 2011 local granting organization Possible Futures (founded by ArtsATL board President Louis Corrigan) awarded the site a $20,000 challenge grant that Fox says ArtsATL has succeeded in matching and "which puts us on stable footing for this year."
