1. Longtime Atlanta Journal-Constitution sports writer Furman Bisher died on Sunday from a massive heart attack. The North Carolina native — who once played golf with Bobby Jones — started writing for the newspaper in 1950 and used a typewriter until his retirement in 2009. He was 93.

2. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's new anti-smoking ad campaign rolls outs today and is guaranteed to make you feel uncomfortable, whether you're a smoker or not.

3. Former Gov. Roy Barnes and ex-House Speaker Glenn Richardson have joined forces to challenge Georgia Power over a controversial surcharge to build two new nuclear reactors. The duo will most likely sign a reality TV show contract by the end of the day.
