First Slice 5/4/12: Fly the meth-y skies, and former Falcons join concussion lawsuit

1. Three Atlanta airport employees have been charged with trying to bring a half million dollars in meth and heroin into the country via Delta Airlines. There are so many frequent flyer jokes to be had here, I'll just let Jay Leno handle it.

2. If you're like me, you've been watching this murder suspect/hostage standoff situation in northwest Atlanta all morning. Still hasn't ended, S.W.A.T. team is there negotiating, a mother and children are trapped inside. Ugh.

3. In the wake of the Junior Seau suicide, the NFL's concussion policy (i.e., its alleged ignoring of the league's concussion problem for so long) is about to be heavily scrutinized. More than 100 former players — including former Atlanta Falcons Jamal Anderson, Chris Doleman, and O.J. Santiago — added their names to a list of 1500 players in a lawsuit charging that the NFL hid the dangers of concussions from players. This is going to get very, very ugly.
