Jewel is coming! Jewel is coming!
Today, the singer/songwriter tweeted that it was “5 days until we move to Atlanta to film the June Carter Cash story.”
Jewel was tapped in early May for her major acting debut as Mrs. Cash in the forthcoming Lifetime biopic, based on Anchored in Love by her son, John Carter Cash.
There’s no word on where in Atlanta filming will take place — although the film, like the book, will charter Carter Cash’s musical career and musical romance with Johnny Cash (played by Matt Ross). It will also touch on her early life in Virginia, her role in her husband’s battle with addiction, and her relationship with her children.
So will Atlanta-the-city sub in for another? And won’t we all just be able to tell anyway?
But more importantly: How is Jewel going to prepare?
