1. Supporters of the regional transportation tax are targeting women in hopes they will support the measure. (They've acknowledged that convincing Republican men to support the 1-percent sales tax is damn near impossible.)

2. Midtown's getting an "upscale" bodega? Will it come equipped with the obligatory cat?

3. The brouhaha over Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's concessions contracts ain't over. One group, SSP, wants to challenge the city's contracting process in Fulton County Superior Court.

4. Craig "Sky" Hertwig, an Athens bar owner who regularly held court in his nightlife hotspots, died last night at the age of 60. The 6-foot-8 former college and pro football player owned several pubs in the college town, including the wonderful Nowhere Bar.

5. ICYMI: "Naked butt cheeks" and public urination scandal rocks the Piedmont Driving Club! We'll give gold stars to anyone with video footage!
