News First Slice 6/13/12: Gwinnett Police officer (allegedly) buys prostitute, trouble

1. Gwinnett County Police officer Brian Kelly was arrested in Barrow County a few days ago for soliciting a prostitute (who was actually an undercover officer) on Backpage.com. And it's not the first time Kelly's been accused of inappropriate behavior. In 2010, when he was the department's spokesman, he was demoted to uniform patrol for sending lewd pictures of himself to a female co-worker who also claimed they had sex on his desk while he was in uniform.
2. Two Roswell Police officers were (luckily) not seriously injured when they were hit by a domestic dispute suspect's car last night.
3. The man accused of shooting several people — killing three and injuring others — at an off-campus apartment near Auburn University Saturday night turned himself in to authorities yesterday. He could go before a judge as early as today.
