First Slice 6/28/12: Money and guns and drugs, oh my!

1) It couldn't be that easy, could it? Law enforcement opened a store in Southwest Atlanta, put out the word the store wanted to buy guns and drugs, and the criminals started rolling in. "Operation Trapdoor" netted 60 arrests, hundreds of guns and thousands of dollars worth of drugs - and only cost tax payers $150,000.

2) A man that won a controversial "stand your ground" ruling in a Florida court a few months back was shot dead in Miami yesterday. You may remember, George Zimmerman invoked the law following the shooting death of unarmed Florida teen Trayvon Martin, igniting national debate. Georgia has a similar law, along with about 20 other states.

3) The U.S. Supreme Court is finally expected to rule on that health care thing this morning, but a 19th century tax law may throw a wrench in the court's ability to decide the fate of the insurance requirement portion. Twenty-six states are challenging the law, and a bunch of people on the Internet won't shut up about it.
