News First Slice 7/3/12: Friends don't let friends use bath salts

1. Bath salts are the devil. Gwinnett County police pepper sprayed and tazed - 14 times - a man who they say was high on the synthetic drug and swinging a golf club on a golf course. Yes, he allegedly screamed about eating people's faces. And Tupac. (Yes, this is the second day in a row that we've included a story about bath salts. But damn, people.)
2. Local officials, fearing an increased fire risk because of the recent extreme heat and drought, are reminding residents not to light illegal fireworks. I saw the Founding Fathers last night at Buddy's and, man, are they pissed about this. Stepping ALL over our freedoms.
3. Have you seen Aubrey Lee Price, the south Georgia investment adviser that authorities say committed a $40 million fraud?
4. Moody's has a little more faith in City Hall's finances. .
4. Scientists think they might have "discovered" the so-called "God Particle." Though they don't want to use the word "discover." Still, God appreciates the shout out.
