News First Slice 7/5/12: Wooden roller coaster nun

1) Georgia Tech student's string of 'bad luck' over the past months (and years, really) have reignited the debate around carrying guns on college campuses. Some students say it's not a matter of if, but when robbers will strike again.
2) An innocent ATLien spent 53 days in the Fulton County jail for throwing hot water on a guy she never met - and who said he never met her, either. It seems this type of mistaken-identity-leading-to-jail-time thing isn't all that uncommon, but people actually hearing about it is.
3) Wooden roller coasters are far from dead. In fact, they still kind of rock. Plus there's a coaster nun, some science, and a video of it all.
4) Congrats! You didn't blow your face off in a macho, sparkly fountain of oozing independence. Maybe next year.
