We're guessing there's more than one way to skin a rat but that artist Laura Ginn probably knows the best.

On Sunday, July 15, beginning at 2 p.m. Ginn will lead a workshop on “how to skin a rat” and discuss tanning procedures. The event takes place at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center where Ginn is one of the artists in ACAC's new exhibition of performance art Deliverance, which opens this Friday, July 13.

As an artist, Ginn has sought out mentors in survivalism and acquired knowledge about the skinning of various animals and the tanning of their hides. She's documented her crash course in self-reliance with photography and video, and ACAC will exhibit an installation of her framed photographs, tools, and pelts. Also in the exhibition, running through September 16, is work by Anya Liftig, Jayson Scott Musson, and Clifford Owens.

Seating is limited for the workshop event, and lunch will not be served. Ever again.
