This section should really just be called "Eatings." But there you have it, restaurants are always very eager to share which celebrities dined there ...
— We'll start off with Reese Witherspoon who had a nosh at Watershed earlier in the week. She also treated herself to some dessert at Bistro Biko
— Sometimes the whole gang goes out for a good time - Reese, Colin Firth and Stephen Moyer had dinner together at Canoe this week as well.
— Owen Wilson meanwhile, in town filming The Internship with Vince Vaughn, had a meal he greatly appreciated at Antico Pizza Wednesday, as he wrote a review of it for them just afterwards. Owen also stopped by Yeah!Burger (though without a review how will we ever know what he thought?)
— One more Owen Wilson update - his views on Piedmont Park? "Fantastic." (We should get him to contribute to Best Of Atlanta). According to Midtown Patch, "Manager for Volunteer Services for the Piedmont Park Conservancy (PPC) Dickerson was putting away tools near Magnolia Hall when he was approached by a first-time visitor to the park. “He said he was a here a few years ago in Buckhead, but now he was in Midtown and getting a whole different view of the city,’’ Dickerson said. The 'he’ turned out to be actor Owen Wilson, who was biking along solo through the park before seeking out the PPC employee to express how impressed he was during his initial visit."
— In non-food news, Clint Eastwood stopped by the East Lake Golf Club, site of the upcoming Battle of Atlanta Gala, while he was in town.
— And Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has arrived in Savannah to film CBGB, which also stars another Harry Potter alumnus, Alan Rickman (some pics at the source of the set and also one of Rupert).
— This picture made my day - not only the writing but the placement on a "Watch for Children" sign. Further investigation seems to indicate that there is a prankster in the neighborhood who enjoys adding additional "information" to these movie shoot signs.
— Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's The Internship filmed around 8th and Argonne, and production crews apparently asked Tech students to act as nerdy-looking extra (act?)
— Devil’s Knot, starring Reese Witherspoon, filmed at Old Bartow County Courthouse in Cartersville throughout the week.
— The Vampire Diaries is filming in Decatur (usually means it's a hospital scene).
— The Jackie Robinson biopic 42 starring Harrison Ford (who has left GA and is done with his filming now) has been shooting outside the city in Social Circle.
— Anyone know what was filming on Cheshire bridge this week? Apparently there was a big setup.
— Monday The Walking Dead filmed on Main street in Senoia, and outside Alvaton on Oakland Road.
— And last but not least - support local filmmaking! An independent Atlanta-based film called Step Off will be screening several times on Starz this month - it is also available anytime on Starz On Demand through the end of September.
Have any tips? Sightings? Encounters? Pictures? Filming news? We need 'em! Especially during this slow summer season. Drop me a line: ATLwood@cln.com or send me a tweet @keeneTV (don't forget to use the hashtag #ATLwood)!

When the bonds on the Georgia Dome are paid off doesn't matter…
Downtown needs some art! Anyone remember the High Museum of Folk Art, in the bottom…
The point is we have a perfectly serviceable stadium that already successfully…
If I may, here's a slightly different perspective that isn't really being addressed:
Hi Max - Thanks for writing this up; I think it deserves a wider circulation…
