
Modern Now Gallery's Body of Work opens this Saturday, the show features the work of eight local artists who have taken aspects of bodies or form and abstracted them, each artist featured in the show will also be exhibiting more work later this year. This will be Modern Now's first major opening, happening at the same time as the All 4 One gallery crawl in the Old 4th Ward.
Also this weekend, Deliverance opens at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Kevin Cole's closing reception of Straight from the Soul, All 4 One, and more after the jump.
FRIDAY

Deliverance features four performance artists, Anya Liftig, Jayson Scott Musson, Clifford Owens, and Laura Ginn in a documentation of their provocative performance work. You may have heard of Liftig's peanut butter obstacle course last week. There will also be an artist talk on Sat. with Ginn, Liftig, and Owens at ACAC from 11:00-noon.

Straight from the Soul, highlighting the last 25 years of artist Kevin Cole's work, holds a closing reception at MOCA GA. The range of work from Cole's career is incredible as visitors watch his style change and evolve over the years.
SATURDAY
All 4 One is a gallery crawl event in the Old 4th Ward with ABV, Melvin, MINT and Stuart McClean galleries all participating. ABV's 50|50 will feature 26 different artists, pairing up with another to create a single work. Look out for great pair-ups like Nikita Gale with OLA BAD or Aaron Crawford with Erik Russell. Also, Melvin Gallery's Forward Warrior will have a live painting demonstration featuring 10 artists working side by side on an 80-foot-long stretch of panels.

Dashboard Co-Op presents Nathan Sharratt's Come Inside. Me which is a five-room sensory installation piece which has been installed inside a vacant house near Turner Field. Located at 30 Ormond Street, this installation incorporates sculpture, video, drawing, and photography elements.
