1. The New York Times gushes about Atlantic Station, which this week hosted a tennis tournament on courts in the shadows of skyscrapers. Yes, the author noticed the Frank Sinatra blasting from speakers hidden in trees. How could you not? Eventually it does this to you. (And the tournament has been pretty great.)
2. Kile Glover, the 11-year-old son of Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover and Tameka Foster and stepson of Atlanta R&B singer Usher was taken off life support and died yesterday. Glover suffered critical injuries in a boating accident two weeks ago at Lake Lanier.
3. In light of the upcoming transportation vote, the AJC takes a look at Portland's streetcar system and how that has benefited its city. The article suggests the prevailing opinion from Atlanta is, "Portland? [Extends middle finger.]"
5. And on a hopeful note: We don't have to worry about catastrophic climate change anymore! Because we're basically too far gone to make much of a difference, even if we could given our political climate, which we can't.
