
The BB&T Atlanta Open brought thousands of fans to Atlantic Station to see some of the best tennis players in the world compete for over $500,000 in prize money.
American Andy Roddick seeded 4th won the tournament Sunday with a three set victory over unseeded Luxembourg player Gilles Muller. The Muller-Roddick match was played in front of a sold-out crowd of over 3,000 that included Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed in attendance. Roddick, 29, a former No. 1 player in the world, is the last American player to win a grand slam title. Roddick won his first tournament in Atlanta in 2001, since then he has won more than $20 million playing tennis.
