Highlights in the inaugural season include work by Sidra Bell of New York, France's Pierre Rigal performing his solo work Standing Man, a three-week residency on the Farm with Seattle-based multi-media performance duo zoe/juniper, Germany’s Pretty Ugly Dance Company founder Amanda K. Miller creating a new work on Decatur's CORE Performance, the work of international choreographer Gustavo Ramirez Sansano and Chicago’s Luna Negra Dance Theatre, and a full-evening world premiere work that brings together gloATL founding artist Lauri Stallings, Atlanta visual artist Gyun Hur, and Georgia Tech’s Sonic Generator.
“We want to develop a 'cultural Badge’ that Atlantans can boast of," says Goat Farm owner Anthony Harper. "The Tanz platform allows a multi-disciplinary network of performers to explore new combinatory methods with one another. Our hope is that bringing together this dense contrasting network of performers and artists will give ideas the chance to collide with opportunity and synthesize.”
Tickets to individual performances will be $25 general admission, $15 students and artists. A season ticket for four performances is $80. In addition to the performances, Tanz Farm will involve workshops, residencies, and a conversation series.
