News
— According to Midtown Patch, "exterior and interior backdrops are needed for a movie set to begin filming this November, starring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman." Scouts are currently on the lookout!
— Check out this photo gallery of Shia LaBeouf and Jessica Chastain at a screening for the Georgia-filmed Lawless in New York. The film opens August 29th.
— Confirmed: Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan are joining the cast of Scary Movie 5, which will begin shooting in here next month (the subhead of this piece disturbs me, given the history these two each have).
Sightings
— In town promoting his latest movie Red Hook Summer, Spike Lee was spotted on the Gerber Group’s Living Room Patio at the W Midtown this week.
— "The Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Joseph Morgan were also seen at the Living Room this week, imbibing wine and probably breaking hearts with their good looks (I saw them last year and can confirm they are even better looking off TV ... is that possible?)
— Owen Wilson, one-man Atlanta whirlwind, was at both Church and Ecco this week. My spidey senses tell me he might have been at the Living Walls block party last night, did anyone see him?
Filming
— The Internship, starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, is still filming around Georgia Tech (which they have turned, in part, into Google).
— There hasn't been much "Walking Dead" news lately, but, finally, here's a tidbit - the zombies are back in Newnan today filming at the Caldwell Tanks manufacturing facility (or are scheduled to be - they were rained out last time and that may repeat).
