First slice 8/28/12: The Mars rover is still doing things

1. NASA administrator Charles Bolden talked to ... well, he talked over a speaker on the Curiosity rover that landed on Mars earlier this month. And he gave a shout out to Neil Armstrong. So glad he didn't confuse him with Lance.

2. Aw. The fella who plays Herschel on "The Walking Dead" got a DUI. Alternate headline: Aw. The fella who plays Herschel on "The Walking Dead" is starring in a new spinoff called "The Driving Drunk." That's awful. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the best part of this story is that he was driving a PT Cruiser.

3. Molly Ringwald wrote a book.

4. Gas is getting expensive because of that storm that the Republicans made by having a convention full of sodomites and whatever else Pat Robertson says causes natural disasters. As high as $4.09 a gallon at some Buckhead stations. (If gas was ever $4.09 a gallon up here I would die of joy. Or throw a parade — a gasoline parade.)

5. Octane's "hipster barista" keeps getting famouser and famouser.
