Crossover Movement brings free dance to the BeltLine

Decatur-based dance company Crossover Movement Arts is helping to kick off a new season of Art on the BeltLine with the series' first dance performance this Sunday, September 9, at 6 p.m at the intersection of the Atlanta BeltLine with Allene Avenue SW, near Adair Park. The event is free and open to the public.

This fall, Crossover will be appearing several times and in several place on the Beltline, performing a three-part series called Your Footsteps Bring Life: Traveling the Atlanta BeltLine. The series begins with Sunday's performance at Allene Avenue entitled “I: Emergence.” It continues with “II: Flotilla" at the Legacy Fountain in Piedmont Park on October 7 at 6 p.m. and concludes with “III: Daedalus Revisited” on October 14 at 6 p.m. on the BeltLine where it passes the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark.

Parking and pre-show gathering for Sunday's show are at nearby Adair Park, along Catherine Street SW between Lexington Avenue SW and Maryland Avenue SW. The main performance takes place along the Atlanta BeltLine immediately west of its intersection with 1080 Allene Avenue SW, near Allene Avenue's intersection with Catherine Street.
