First slice 9/11/12: There will be a 9/11 museum. Eventually.

1. Just in time for the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum Foundation resolved a dispute over funding and oversight of the planned National September 11 Memorial Museum, which will allow construction to resume, according to New York leaders. The museum was originally scheduled to open today.

2. Forty-two-year-old Decatur grandmother Selena Rivera has been accused of beating her three-year-old granddaughter to death with a metal pipe late last month. The child's sibling, who claims to have witnessed the incident, said Rivera shoved the child in a closet after the beating and when she reopened the door, the little girl was no longer breathing.

3. Chicago's massive teachers strike — the city's first in 25 years — heads into its second day. Paul Ryan has weighed in. And sided with Rahm Emanuel.

4. Local math teacher who is also a man sells Mary Kay products to support family and sick son. The movie version of this is going to be so great. Tagline: "Where There's a Will, There's a Kay." I'll work on the script later today.
