This week’s Time and Place photo was snapped at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2012 in the lobby of the Creative Loafing offices in Atlantic Station. After finding a dusty box of neon-themed CL swag from years past in the archives room, the editorial team put their better fashion senses on the shelf for a photoshoot paying homage to four decades of “loafing creatively.”

In this picture shot by Joeff Davis, CL’s Editor-in-Chief Eric Celeste can be seen taking out his aggressions on Loafy, our intrepid company mascot. (Yeah, it’s a box. Get over it.) Joeff’s use of a fast shutter speed to capture the mid-air moment added an action-packed, yet almost frozen-in-time candor to the image. Given the fact we were celebrating CL’s 40th anniversary, the approach was perfect for the occasion.
