— Forget Team Peeta vs. Team Gale, Hunger Games stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth were both on Team Haymitch Wednesday to see their co-star Woody Harrelson’s new film Seven Psychopaths (which I hear is amazing) at the Regal Atlantic Station this week.
— Josh Hutcherson was out at the movies a second time this week (apparently he has a lot of time on his hands) with co-star Jennifer Lawrence. Not sure what film they saw, but by all reports they were incredibly nice to fans (I've been hearing this a lot). Full story and pictures are over at ONTD.
— Apparently Woody Harrelson was playing soccer at Piedmont Park after work Monday, and Josh Hutcherson was playing with him last week. They (especially Josh) are the new Owen Wilsons of Atlanta!
— Another Hunger Games co-star, Lynn Cohen, was spotted (by me, for once) at the High Museum's Culture Shock event last Saturday night. She and her husband looked to be having a nice time checking out the new exhibit (and I don't think anyone recognized them, but she's most famous to me as being Madga from "Sex and the City").
— At "The Walking Dead" premiere viewing at The Local Sunday night, Steven Yeun (who plays Glenn) showed up to hang out with fans and take pictures. By all accounts he was a very cool and nice dude. If David Morrissey shows up anywhere, someone call me. Love love love that man.
— Big Chow Grill was the place to be this weekend, with former Atlanta Falcons running back Warrick Dunn dropping in as well as Andre 3000, who celebrated Vegetarian Awareness Month with an all veggie stir-fry bowl while sharing a meal with his son.
— Not only have the Hunger Games cast members been all over town, filming has been everywhere as well. From the Goat Farm to the GA World Congress Center / Georgia Dome as well as the Peachtree Dekalb Airport and Kirkwood. A set has also been constructed at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton.
— Something was filming at Vanquish nightclub on Tuesday, any ideas?
— "The Vampire Diaries" has been filming at the Depot Bar in Covington.
— The movie The Start Up has been filming at the Majestic Diner as well as around Buford and Lenox Mall.
— The feature film Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman is accepting crew resumes for all positions. Submit resumes to: email@example.com.
— Indie TV pilot called “Edgar Allan Poe’s Mystery Theater” is casting for a November shoot. Go here for details.
Have any tips? Sightings? Encounters? Pictures? Filming news? We need 'em! Especially during this slow summer season. Drop me a line: ATLwood@cln.com or send me a tweet @keeneTV (don't forget to use the hashtag #ATLwood)!
I don't like the title, "Hollywood of The South" we need something original in Atlanta.
