3. In shopping terms, the fourth Thursday of November may no longer be known as Thanksgiving. As more retailers start their holiday bargains earlier and earlier, Turkey Day has taken on a new title: Grey Thursday.
4. And when it comes to official Georgia holidays, today isn't Black Friday. No, it's Robert E. Lee's birthday. The Peach State is one of a handful of Southern bastions that still observes Confederate holidays. But, if it makes you feel any better, at least we don't combine the celebration of Lee's birthday and MLK Day, like Mississippi and Alabama.
