First Slice 11/25/12: UGA trumps Georgia Tech in annual gruntfest

The University of Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 42-10 yesterday in the football teams' traditional Thanksgiving showdown.

Why isn't Southern Company, which is partnering with Ted Turner in the southwest to generate more solar power, focusing more on investing in the clean energy closer to home?

Did you Greco Roman wrestle with a stranger at 1 a.m. in Walmart over barely discounted socks and other items you actually didn't need? Or did you shop at small, locally owned businesses the following day?

Efrem Towns, the trumpeter for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, received more than 30 stitches in his groin (and might lose a testicle) after he was attacked last week by a Rottweiler outside an Atlanta motel where the band was staying.
