
Famed sculptor and Kennesaw State University professor, Ayokunle Odeleye, will be giving an artist talk tonight at MOCA GA in conjunction with his retrospective show covering the last 32 years of his extensive career. The artist talk starts at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public. More art after the jump in this weekend arts agenda.
FRIDAY

Kai Lin Art is opening a new group show tonight titled Illuminate, with the simple premise of the artwork illuminating its audeence in some way. Above, artist John Tindel's epic, colorful beast jumps off the canvas. Kai Lin will hold an opening reception tonight from 7-10 p.m.

The Cube Gallery has a new exhibition of work from artists Sarah Flinn and William P. Etheridge Jr. titled Contemplations and Daydreams opening tonight. Featuring two contrasting styles of work, Etheridge's controlled blocks of color and shape contrast with Flinn's attention to detail in her intricate drawings on paper. The gallery will hold an opening reception from 7-11 p.m.
SATURDAY

Famed New York dancer Sidra Bell will be leading a dance class at the Goat Farm Saturday afternoon and the class is free to the public! The class will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is presented by Tanz Farm.

The Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, aka ATHICA is holding an inaugural pin-up show giving local art students and artists alike the opportunity to hang their work in the gallery and have it sold at buyer-friendly prices. Featuring work from over 60 plus local artists, this is a great chance to grab affordable art in time for the holidays, from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday.
