First Slice 12/17/12: Secretary of State John Kerry?

Gimme that job, good sir!
Sources tell ABC News that U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., will most likely be nominated by President Barack Obama to become the next Secretary of State. The opening came after Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, withdrew her name from consideration.

New MARTA CEO Keith Parker, who started on the job last Monday, is overseeing some ch-ch-changes to the transit agency's leadership. Among those who have handed in their resignations: the former chief operating officer, who also vied for the CEO spot.
