News First Slice 12/26/12: Atlanta Police arrest suspect linked to last month's Ford Factory Lofts murder

Seventeen people, including six individuals passing through metro Atlanta, died in car accidents across Georgia over the holiday weekend. That's up from three total deaths statewide during the same weekend last year.
Thanks to a Christmas Eve accident, the Atlanta Police arrested a man who they believe is responsible for the death of Lee Lowery III, who was killed outside the Ford Factory Lofts back in November.
In case you missed it late last week, a Fulton County judge threw out Atlanta's exclusive contract with the private firm that's responsible for overseeing all vending on public property throughout the city.
A different Fulton County judge has temporarily suspended a state law banning abortions for women who are more than 20 weeks pregnant.
Former Braves outfielder Andruw Jones spent part of his Christmas morning behind bars after being arrested for a battery charge in Duluth.
According to the AJC, Georgia Schools Superintendent John Barge supports NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre's proposal to place armed officers into schools.
