First Slice 1/8/13: U.S. Supreme Court will not overturn a Georgia law banning guns in churches

Mayor Kasim Reed mentioned that he would potentially be worried about "somebody that's 20 or 30 with 40 friends" running against him in the mayoral race later this year during a recent appearance on MSNBC.

The U.S. Supreme Court has passed on hearing a Georgia case that could have potentially overturned a law which bans firearms in churches and other places of worship.

Crooks reportedly stole $300,000 in wire plus four computers from the Anchorman 2 set in northwest Atlanta, likely putting Paramount World Productions employees into a glass case of emotion.

A Gwinnett County resident and self-described "plant freak" says that police have accused him of growing marijuana in his own home.
