First Slice 11/16/13: Obama to unveil 'aggressive' gun-control plan while some Georgia state lawmakers look to expand rights

President Barack Obama is expected to propose today what The Washington Post calls the "most aggressive and expansive national gun-control agenda in generations." Meanwhile, state Rep. Paul Battles, R-Carterville, is rallying support for a Georgia house bill that would allow school officials to carry concealed firearms in schools.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that the 70,251 square-foot Buckhead Marketplace has sold for $40 million.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp has subpoenaed documents from Fulton County's elections office. The move comes after county officials have reportedly not cooperated with Kemp's attempted investigations following numerous voter complaints from last year's election.
