1. Georgia Carry, a non-profit gun rights organization, has taken issue with the City of Atlanta's ban on weapons at public assemblies. Earlier this week an attorney with the non-profit sent a letter to the City of Atlanta asking them to repeal the ordinance, saying it was state lawmakers responsibility to handle gun control issues.
2. Boneheads named a new CEO ... as in Boneheads Grilled Fish & Piri Piri Chicken, the Atlanta-based restaurant chain, not boneheads in general. But nice headline.
3. In a hard-hitting expose out this morning from the Associated Press, it seems not all Subway foot-long sandwiches are actually a foot long. After a post on the company's Facebook page went viral, the New York Post did its own investigative work by measuring seven allegedly foot-long sandwiches. Only three of them measured up. A Subway spokesperson said the length of each sandwich varies slightly with the bread.
4. A 12-year-old Woodstock boy and his brother's harmonica have helped raise more than $60,000 for charity. It all started when Aidan Hornaday took off his hat and started playing in a Vining's restaurant more than four years ago, pulling in $80 on his first haul that he decided to donate to orphans in Africa. Since then, things have kind of snowballed.
