Atlanta Police want help identifying a dog owner who assaulted a woman at the Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park.
According to the APD, two women and their children were playing at the skate park and playground along the Atlanta Beltline on Monday. A white male then approached two of the children and said he and his two unleashed pit bulls were there first.
When one of the women started talking to the man, the police report says, he started verbally assaulting her friend. The woman began videotaping him with her phone, which police say only aggravated him further. The police report says the woman captured video of him "leashing his dogs and then charging in motion while yelling at her."
"The male then struck one of the women in her hand and knocked her phone to the ground when she began recording him with it," the statement says.
According to the police report, the man left the area walking along the Beltline in the direction of Ponce City Market.
UPDATE, 1:30 p.m. Atlanta Police tell CL that officers today arrested Louis Rivera for simple battery. He was transported to jail without incident.
