First Slice 4/3/13: Invest Atlanta to vote on stadium deal tomorrow

Invest Atlanta officials are finally scheduled to vote tomorrow on the Falcons stadium agreement. Their decision stands as the final approval needed before the new facility is considered a done deal.

Fulton County grand jurors have charged former NBA player and Georgia Tech star Javaris Crittenton with murder.

In case you missed it, former Mayor Shirley Franklin warned against a "public lynching" of former Atlanta Public Schools educators indicted in the 2009 CRCT cheating scandal. Her comments came as most of the 35 teachers and administrators charged, including former superintendent Beverly Hall, reported to the Fulton County jail yesterday.

Also from yesterday, Fuqua Development has submitted yet another plan for a proposed retail complex along Glenwood Avenue.

In response to Georgia lawmakers passing a resolution regarding its northern border, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam joked yesterday: "We'll take the Atlanta Braves and they can have the water."
