Well, I made up that first part about a "new study," but it is true that drinking a cocktail tonight can benefit Old Fourth Ward. The Corner Tavern on Edgewood is hosting a special happy hour to benefit CL's Do Good project in the neighborhood - a memorial park dedicated to late community activist Marie Cowser. Corner Tavern will donate $1 for every Ice Candy Cocktail ordered. What's an Ice Candy Cocktail? I have no idea. Let's all find out together tonight. There will also be half-off appetizers $4 tap and tapas. Can't make it tonight? You can always donate online.

CL is also sponsoring an arts-based anti-litter campaign in Capitol View and Capitol View Manor. Check out the video here to meet some of the neighbors involved.

This Saturday, the neighborhoods are holding a cleanup. People are meeting up at the Sullivan Center parking lot at the corner of Dill and Metropolitan at 8:30 a.m. Contact neighborhood association present Paul Benson at 678-665-7748 or bensonovi@gmail.com if you're interested in volunteering.
