First Slice 5/9/13: Mayor says Fulton County 'doesn't do anything anyway'

1. Southwest Airlines is shifting away from Atlanta as a hub for operations after inheriting that model when it acquired AirTran. Still, Hartsfield-Jackson remains the world's most crowded.

2. A young gator was pulled from a neighborhood pond in Lawrenceville yesterday, but not before grabbing a chunk of the trapper's arm.

3. A Macon TV reporter caught some flak after tweeting a photo of her and a cameraman cheesing extra hard while covering a search for a missing college student.
